We Just Need To Receive It
What once separated us from God and His provision has been removed.
Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed. I Peter 2:24 (KJV)
Jesus bore our sins in His own body on the tree, the cross. He became sin and died. He died to sin to make us dead to sin. Sin is no longer an issue for the righteous (and that means you, born-again child of God).
Because we are made righteous, we have a right to get right with God when we mess up. Righteous is who and what we are, not what we do. We don’t have to work to be righteous. It is our blood-bought position before God. We are placed in the place of right standing before God because Jesus became sin for us. We no longer identify with sin. We identify as the righteousness of God in Christ.
Sin is not a problem for the believer. Jesus died to make us righteous, and righteous is what we are. We just have to receive Jesus Christ and all He did for us at the cross. It is so simple that it’s almost ridiculous. Yet it is that very simplicity that makes some people think it is too good to be true. But it isn’t. God made it simple for us so we would all be able to partake of the righteousness He bought for us.
It is just as easy to receive healing, prosperity, and peace, as it is to receive the forgiveness of sins. Jesus has already done it all for us. All that is left is for us to receive. We can be just as healed as we are saved. The same Savior who died to deliver us from sin also died to deliver us from lack, sickness, and anything negative. We can live the good life now. We just need to receive it.
