Pouring Out Our Praise
Then took Mary a pound of ointment of spikenard, very costly, and anointed the feet of Jesus, and wiped his feet with her hair: and the house was filled with the odour of the ointment. John 12:3 (KJV)
Just as Mary poured out this spikenard on Jesus’ feet and anointed them, we can pour out our praise upon Jesus. We can pour out praise like liquid, releasing an anointing that flows like a river. A river of praise is like releasing holy anointing oil, and it is pleasing to the Lord.
We release praise to show our love and devotion to Jesus. Our praise can be a memorial that can last forever. It will be told throughout eternity about how we poured our love, our hearts out to Him. It will speak of the lovers of God, worshippers of the Lord, those wholly devoted to Jesus.
Our worship carries an aroma that others will smell. The effects will be seen on others now and forever.
Once you start worshipping and pouring your holy anointing oil of love and praise on Jesus, don’t stop. As you continue, it will become a river that will sweep others into its flow and take them to the very presence of God.
