On The Tree, He Made Us Free

On The Tree, He Made Us Free

Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed. I Peter 2:24 (KJV)

Who would save man in his sin, from his sin? Who could save man in this condition? The answer is Jesus Christ, the Messiah, the Savior of the World, the Lamb of God slain from the foundation of the world. Before man’s problems began, God had a plan, had a promise, had a Redeemer.

Jesus was born to die, to give His body as a sacrifice on a tree (cross). The Creator grew a tree to die on. The Life that created life gave His life to save mankind’s life. Jesus became sin, a sin offering, because man was dead in his sins. Jesus died to defeat sin and death.

Jesus died as a sin offering so we could be dead to sin. Sin no longer has dominion over us. Jesus, Who was sinless, became sin to take our sins away. He made us righteous.

He canceled the record of the charges against us and took it away by nailing it to the cross. Colossians 2:14 (New Living Translation, NLT)

As believers, we’re no longer sinners, but saints. We are holy and separated from sin. We’re set apart by Jesus, because of Jesus, and for Jesus. Now we live for Him, our Healer. By His stripes, His wounds, you were healed and made whole. Now, walk in who Jesus is and what He purchased for you when He hung on a tree to make us free.
