God's Word Is Your Wisdom

God's Word Is Your Wisdom

For this reason also the wisdom of God said [in the Scriptures], ‘I will send them prophets and apostles, some of whom they will put to death and some they will persecute, Luke 11:49 (Amplified Bible, AMP)

Keep in mind that this verse itself is part of Scripture, meaning it is wisdom to us. God speaks wisdom to us in His Word. The whole Bible is a book of wisdom. It tells us what God says, how to know God, and how God wants us to live. He wants us to live with and for Him and He wants to live in and through us.

For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope. Romans 15:4 (KJV)

All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: II Timothy 3:16 (KJV)

God’s Word is wisdom for what we face. For example, if we face sickness, God’s Word says in I Peter 2:24 that we’ve been healed. Therefore, to receive that healing, we simply have to receive God’s Word.

He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions. Psalm 107:20 (KJV)

When we have challenges, Jesus Christ, who is God (John 1:1) and wisdom (I Corinthians 1:30) will show us what to do to overcome. He gives us the wisdom about what to do (James 1:5) and the power to do it. Jesus is the Word made flesh (John 1:14) and therefore, He is wisdom. God and His Word are One, so wisdom is found in both of them. We need not rely on our own wisdom because human wisdom fails. Only God’s wisdom prevails. God’s Word is our wisdom. God is smarter than we are.

That their hearts might be comforted, being knit together in love, and unto all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the acknowledgement of the mystery of God, and of the Father, and of Christ; In whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. Colossians 2:2-3 (KJV) emphasis mine

In Christ we have all wisdom and knowledge. We are in Christ and Christ is in us, therefore, wisdom is in us. As we spend time in God’s Word and praying in tongues, God’s Word will make us wiser and wiser. Wisdom means living according to God’s Word. Wisdom gives us answers for life’s problems. God’s Word is our daily wisdom for daily life. Being in the Word daily, filling up on wisdom, will enable us to use the Word to be successful in all things.
