Overcoming Messes, Mess-Ups, and Messages
For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; And having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled. II Corinthians 10:3-6 (KJV)
The enemy sends messes to mess us up. He sends messes of hurt, fear, worry, and rejection. It s a constant bombardment to our minds. He plays mind games, war games, one message after another. Lie after lie comes in an attempt to get us messed up in our thinking and emotions. The ultimate goal is to get us to speak messed up words and act accordingly.
The enemy sends messages through thoughts, imaginations, and the actions of others. From day to day, as we navigate life, he sends messages and messes to mess us up. However, God also sends messages of His own- messages of the Gospel, His good news. His messages interrupt, disrupt, and destroy the messages of the devil. Let God minister to you. Let the Master talk to you. Let the ministry of the Holy Spirit teach, comfort, and help you to overcome what the enemy launches at you.
Be the man or woman God made you to be. Receive fresh manna, God’s Word, from Heaven. Let that manna grow and mature you to overcome every mess, mess-up, and message the devil sends you. Study and speak God’s Word to receive fresh manna for each day. As we mature in Christ, we defeat those who previously defeated us.
With every mountain you encounter, use your mouth and speak God’s message, His Word. Speak to the mountain and tell it to move out of your way and into the sea. We are more than conquerors, meaning the victory has been given to us. So, move on, move up, and move forward. Mow down every obstacle that would prevent you from moving on. Gain momentum with praise. Like a snowball rolling down a hill, use everything that stands in your way to build momentum, taking that which was meant to block you and allow it to build you. Once you get momentum, just keep moving more and more into spiritual maturity. Move on with God and watch Him manifest all that He has for you.
