Come As A Child

And they brought young children to him, that he should touch them: and his disciples rebuked those that brought them. But when Jesus saw it, he was much displeased, and said unto them, Suffer the little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God. Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child, he shall not enter therein. And he took them up in his arms, put his hands upon them, and blessed them. Mark 10:13-16 (KJV)

Come to Jesus to let Him touch you. Come as a child. Come in a childlike manner, not childish. Childlike means we trust Jesus, whereas childish means we play games with Him. Children are real and genuine yet playful.

Jesus will touch us in a safe way to bless us. There is nothing threatening or scary about being touched by God. When Jesus touches us, we become changed, empowered, loved, and protected.

The hands of God are upon us and our lives. God’s kingdom operates differently than the world’s system. It is a kingdom of love, surrender, and dependence on the Lord. Like children, we innocently trust God to care for us. On the other hand, the world’s way is, “Do it yourself,” which fails in the end.

To enter God’s kingdom, come as a child, needing Jesus. Be born-again and let Jesus touch you and change you. Receive God’s kingdom, which is a spiritual kingdom of righteousness, peace, and joy. It is full of power, authority, and victory. As we enter God’s kingdom, we enter His domain and surrender to His rulership, knowing the King will take care of us. Jesus will take us up in His arms and carry us as lambs, holding us close to His heart.

And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth. Genesis 1:28 (KJV)

Jesus will place His hands upon us and bless us, speaking well over us. He speaks His love, acceptance and approval over us. Let God proclaim who you are and what you will do (Genesis 27:24-29) as He did His first creation, Adam and Eve. God empowered them to fulfill destiny. Jesus blesses us so we become more than we are. He lays His hands upon us and blesses us by words and impartation, speaking a prophetic blessing over us and releasing power into us to fulfill our destinies.

When Jesus takes us up into His arms and lays His hands upon us, we are never the same. We’ll go from glory to glory, faith to faith, and strength to strength, becoming more Christlike every day and every step of the way. When we come to Him in childlike faith, Jesus releases everything we need.
