Take The Time Limits Off of God
God has a time for everything. God works with time and in time.
And in process of time it came to pass, Genesis 4:3 (KJV)
At this set time… Genesis 17:21 (KJV)
At the time appointed… Genesis 18:14 (KJV)
And it came to pass at that time… Genesis 21:22 (KJV)
There’s a time for everything. We must learn to discern time and the time we are in. God uses time to serve His purposes. There is a process of time for every purpose and promise. Some take longer than others. He has a set time to fulfill promises, to work in to bring to pass what He has planned.
God has appointed times, like the seven feasts noted in Leviticus 23. They are a time of special celebrations to bring certain things to pass according to God’s timetable.
We must let time work for us by being patient. We can slow some things down and we can speed some things up. We must be willing to wait for the period needed and go through the process of time to see things come to pass.
In the natural, God works inside of time. However, in the spiritual realm, He works outside of time. He can even stop time. For example, Joshua told the sun and moon to stand still to have the time needed to win the battle (Joshua 10:12-13). God can move time backwards, like the time when He made the sun dial go back ten degrees (II Kings 20:10-11). God can also accelerate time by supernatural translation, such as the time Jesus and His disciples in the boat were translated to shore (John 6:21).
We don’t need to limit God to time or put a time clock on Him. Sometimes we wait on God, and at other times, He waits on us. We must learn to work with God and not against Him to see God fulfill His promises and plans. We can speed things up, slow things down, or go through a specific process of time to see the fulfillment of God’s purposes. So, don’t give God a time limit. That only brings frustration and questions when God doesn’t meet our timetable.
We will have a more peaceful and enjoyable life if we just relax, trust God, and know that God holds time in His hands. Our times, lives, and future must all be given to God. Put it in His hands and know that God perfects all that concerns us. He makes all things beautiful in His time. Keep in step with God and see the fulfillment of His promises at the right time.
