That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises. For when God made promise to Abraham, because he could swear by no greater, he sware by himself, Saying, Surely blessing I will bless thee, and multiplying I will multiply thee. And so, after he had patiently endured, he obtained the promise. Hebrews 6:12-15 (KJV)

God has dreams for us. As we seek Him and wait in His presence, getting close and becoming intimate with Him, we will become pregnant with the promises of God, which give birth to our dreams.

I will stand upon my watch, and set me upon the tower, and will watch to see what he will say unto me, and what I shall answer when I am reproved. And the Lord answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it. For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry. Behold, his soul which is lifted up is not upright in him: but the just shall live by his faith. Habakkuk 2:1-4 (KJV)

Let’s break dwn the word DREAM as an acrostic and see what the Lord shows us.

D= DESIRE

Every dream begins with a desire, something you long for. Desire is the beginning, or the conceiving place of success. Desire will keep you going after your dream even when it’s difficult or when the time you’ve been waiting on its fulfillment grows long. When you have to keep working hard and pressing towards the dream, desire is what gives you the strength to continue (Psalm 37:4-5).

R= RENEW

Renew your mind to His promises to believe it can be done. You have to see yourself achieving your dream. This keeps hope alive for you to keep pursuing your dream. Look at your dream and the promises of God daily to keep moving in the right direction (Romans 12:2, Isaiah 40:31).

E= EMBRACE

Embrace God’s promises and hold onto your dream. By holding onto God’s promises, we hold onto our dreams. Embrace the challenges you face in getting your dream. Anything worth getting is worth fighting for. Keep fighting until you win. Know that the struggles only serve to make us stronger. By not quitting in the middle of the fight, we’ll gain the strength to see things through (Hebrews 10:23).

A= ACTION

Act on the promises of God to see your dream come to pass. It’s been said that a dream without action is just a fantasy. Actions make dreams become real. We know that faith without works is dead (James 2:20) and that we are to be doers of the Word, not just hearers (James 1:22). Actions bring forth the dreams that are in you, drawing them out of you and causing them to manifest. Act on what God has told you to do until your dream comes to pass or God gives you additional directions.

M= MANIFEST

Through faith and patience, we will obtain promises and fulfilled dreams (Hebrews 6:12). Faith and patience will bring your dreams to the point of manifestation. Manifestation is the reward for seeing your dream through until it comes to pass. It is payment for your hard work and for not giving up.

The reward will be worthwhile. For all the times you kept believing, maintained your patience, continued praying and standing fast, God will honor you by bringing your dream to pass. By not giving up and keeping at it with God’s help, you’ll keep pressing on until you give birth to your desire.Keep renewing your mind to the promises and embracing the challenges. Hold on no matter what it takes. Keep taking steps of faith, acting on what God put in your heart to do. Keep the vision alive until the manifestation comes. And all the glory will go to God for giving you your heart’s desire.
