Abandonment To God

My beloved is mine, and I am his. Song of Solomon 2:16 (KJV)

Abandonment means to totally give yourself over to someone. In this case, I am referring to giving yourself totally to God. It means being totally open and exposed to God.

Abandon all your fears, worries, and concerns. Open yourself to God, with heart fully exposed, holding nothing back. Surrender to the One who loves you without reservation.. Your loving God withholds nothing from you, so why would you hold back anything from Him? Give all of yourself and your love to God, knowing He loves you unconditionally and forever. Jesus has given all of Himself to win your heart and still is giving Himself fully and freely to you.

Our relationship with Jesus is to be an ongoing cycle of love, with Him loving us with all His heart. We respond by giving Him all our hearts. Then He gives His love to us all over again.

Draw me, we will run after thee: the king hath brought me into his chambers: we will be glad and rejoice in thee, we will remember thy love more than wine: the upright love thee. Song of Solomon 1:4 (KJV)

In abandonment, we are free to express our true selves and our total selves; spirit, soul, and body. The more we abandon ourselves to God, the more we get lost in His love. And when we’re lost in His love, we are truly found.
