In The Heart of God
That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me. John 17:21 (KJV)
Did you know that when you ask Jesus to come in your heart that, at that very moment, Holy Spirit puts you in the heart of God? How is this? It is because you and God become one.
Now, God’s heart beats in you. Your heart beats with God’s heart. To know God and fellowship with God is to be one with Him. We can know and have God’s heart. God’s heart is love for God is love. It beats in the rhythm of love carried out in melodies of giving and harmonies of goodness. Your heart loves like God’s heart loves.
Now, we can explore God’s heart, which is infinite and eternal. This means we will always experience new revelations of God. Each time God’s heart beats, it beats with new revelations of who He is. It beats with what He has done, with what He is doing, with what He will do. To know the heart of God is to know God.
For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one. I John 5:7 (KJV)
As we live in God and He lives in us, we find our place. We are found in God and God is found in us. We have relationship and oneness with the Godhead, the Trinity, the Three-in-One. God is spirit, and we are spirit. Like God is three in one, so are we. We are spirit, soul, and body.
And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. I Thessalonians 5:23 (KJV)
So our three-part being is one with God, the Three-in-One. Isn’t that amazing? We are one and our hearts beat as one, loving each other and fellowshipping together. As we worship God, we experience His heart over and over.
When His heart touches our hearts, we gain a love for all the people God made. When we have God’s heart, we want to reach people and bring them to God so they can know His heart too. As we do, more and more people have the heart of God and the earth is filled with God and His heartbeat of love.
