The Name and Lordship of Jesus

The Name and Lordship of Jesus

Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. Philippians 2:9-11 (KJV) emphasis mine

We see here that the name of Jesus and the lordship of Jesus go hand in hand. As we speak the name of Jesus, we enforce His lordship. No matter who or what may come against us, they are already defeated. We simply enforce the victory over any opponent. We win every time when we confess that Jesus is Lord. Lord means the one who has ultimate authority in your life. Darkness, enemies, sickness, lack, storms, or any such thing must bow before us when we use the name of Jesus and enforce His lordship.

The name Jesus, or Yeshua in Hebrew, means The Lord is Salvation. When we say, “Jesus is Lord,” we’re saying Jesus is my salvation, the One Who has authority. Christ means The Anointed One and His Anointing. So, when we say Jesus Christ is Lord, we declare the authority of Jesus and release the anointing of Christ to work in us and through us.

Jesus Christ is waiting for us to put all things under our feet. Since all things are under Jesus’ feet, He is now waiting for His body to make all things come under subjection. He is the Head of the body and if all things are under His feet, then they should be under ours as well. As we walk in our authority by speaking the name of Jesus, declaring that He is Lord, and decreeing the Word of God out of our mouths, we enforce the finished work of Jesus Christ. As a result, all things must line up under the authority of the church.

We are not subject to defeat of any kind. Keep speaking the name of Jesus and declaring that Jesus is Lord. You will begin to see things bow to the name of Jesus in all three realms: heaven, earth, under the earth. This brings glory to God the Father and lifts up Jesus Christ.

Faith Confession: “I confess in Jesus’ name that Jesus is Lord and all three relams must bow and confess that Jesus is Lord to the glory of God the Father.”
