You're Too Blessed To Be Cursed!

You're Too Blessed To Be Cursed!

Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree: That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith. Galatians 3:13-14 (KJV)

The word redeemed in the Greek means to buy back from. Jesus Christ bought us back from the curse of the law. We’re no longer under the law and its effects. We are dead to the law and now raised to Christ. The curse has been defeated for us. Christ became a curse to take our curse and all the things the curse brings, including spiritual death, poverty, and sickness.

We have covenant rights now. Christ made us righteous (II Corinthians 5:21) and as such, we have right standing with God. Christ was hung on a tree to remove the curse and all its effects from us and our lives. Our hang-ups were hung on the cross with Christ. Now, we are free- so be free.

And I will give them one heart, and I will put a new spirit within you; and I will take the stony heart out of their flesh, and will give them an heart of flesh: Ezekiel 11:19 (KJV)

The blessing of Abraham became ours. He was justified by faith. Now we are made right and justified in Christ. We can be born again, have a new heart, and can be baptized in the Holy Spirit (Acts 2:3-4). All that God promised Abraham we can receive by the Spirit and not by our flesh.

And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise. Galatians 3:29 (KJV)

And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together. Romans 8:17 (KJV)

Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to thy seed, which is Christ. Galatians 3:16 (KJV)

If we belong to Christ, we are counted as descendants of Abraham and heirs according to God’s promise. As joint heirs with Christ, everything God promised Abraham and Christ becomes ours. We have covenant rights, promises, and and a glorious inheritance in Christ.

So, resist all the effects of the curse because you are not under the curse if you are in Christ. You are too blessed to be cursed. By faith, receive all that Jesus Christ died to give you. He died to free us and make us: sons (this includes daughters), heirs, redeemed, and blessed. You now have spiritual life, prosperity, as well as healing and health. All of God’s covenant promises are now ours for the taking, so claim them now!
