The Power of Believing
That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. Romans 10:9-10 (KJV)
Believe in this passage is the Greek word pisteuo, meaning to believe, be persuaded of, to place confidence in, to trust. It means to entrust, especially one’s spiritual wellbeing to Christ, to commit yourself to. It speaks of having reliance upon.
When we hear God’s Word, faith comes (Romans 10:17). We receive faith to believe, to be saved, blessed, healed, and delivered. The power of believing makes all things possible, for God gets involved in our lives. When we believe and are fully persuaded, we have a confidence, and a know-so. We trust that in Christ we can become all God called us to be. The power of believing enables us to go from sickness to health, from lack to abundance, and from inability to divine ability. It takes us from wrong thinking and speaking to believing and speaking right.
I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me. Philippians 4:13 (KJV)
When we truly believe in God, we can be smart beyond our own intelligence and can accomplish things beyond our natural skill level. And when things go wrong, we can believe they will turn out right. When we believe in God and in the help of God working for us, we can partner with God to do what He says we can do. We can go where He sends us and be who He made us to be.
The power of believing makes us unstoppable. We can do the impossible. When no one believes in us, God believes in us so we can believe in ourselves. We can accomplish great things with our lives with God on our side.
As we believe, so we become.
As we believe, so we do.
As we believe, so we have.
The power of believing God has no limits. When we take the limits off of God, we’ll see Him do great things in our lives.
