Walking Out Ephesians 1:15-23

Wherefore I also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus, and love unto all the saints, Cease not to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers; That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him: The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints, And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power, Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places, Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come: And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church, Which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all. Ephesians 1:15-23 (KJV)

These verses are for wisdom, revelation knowledge, illumination, and God’s power working in our lives. It all starts with faith in the Lord Jesus. We pray and confess these verses to enforce Jesus’ lordship and our authority in life.

It is good to start our prayers by giving thanks. Our prayers can even turn into prayers of thanksgiving. By wisdom, knowledge, and revelation, we can know Christ and the hope of His calling. God wants us to hope, or have confident expectation of a good outcome. We will fulfill God’s call with His help- or, as we work with God, He works His call out in our lives.

Being the saints of God, He wants us to know the riches of the glory of His inheritance. As we confess God’s Word, we can receive all that belongs to us as heirs of God and equal heirs with Christ. This allows us to live with more than enough and to have overflow with which we can bless others.

He also wants us to know the exceeding greatness of His power. He desires for us to know and see what’s available to us and to let His power work in our lives. As we believe, we release God’s power to work in us and our lives. When we were born again, that power began its work in us to make us new creations (II Corinthians 5:17). There are two different experiences. At salvation, we are born of God’s Spirit (John 3:3, 6). Then, in a separate experience, we are filled with the Spirit, which is also called being baptized in the Holy Spirit. This empowers us to be witnesses for Christ, we witness all Christ is, does, and has paid for us to have. When we are baptized in the Spirit, Holy Spirt comes upon us and floods us with God’s power. As we speak in tongues, we release Holy Ghost power to work in us, through us, and for us to be and do all God intended.

God has planned for us to walk in our authority over all principality, power, might, and dominion and every name that is named in this world and the world to come. God wants us to dominate anything or any name that comes against us, including all demons, sickness, poverty, war, wicked governments, catastrophic weather, and any enemy that presents itself. All things are under the feet of Jesus. As members of His body, we are under Him, but all things are under us as well. As we walk in power and authority, we take over the earth, manifesting God’s kingdom come and His will done in Earth as in Heaven.

As we pray, profess, prophesy, and praise God according to His Word, Ephesians 1:15-23 will be a reality now in this life.
