We Don't Have To Be In The Dark

We Don't Have To Be In The Dark

But you have an anointing from the Holy One, and you know all things. I John 2:20 (NKJV)

Do not rejoice over me, my enemy; When I fall, I will arise; When I sit in darkness, The Lord will be a light to me. I will bear the indignation of the Lord, Because I have sinned against Him, Until He pleads my case
And executes justice for me. He will bring me forth to the light; I will see His righteousness. Micah 7:8-9 (NKJV)

Although there may be darkness around us and others may not know what to do, God has given us an anointing to know. As we listen to God, He will let us know supernaturally from His Spirit in us based on God’s Word given to us.

The Bible says that God’s Word is light and as it enters our spirits, the Word brings illumination and enlightens our spirit man. As we pray in tongues, the Word, wisdom, knowledge, and understanding in us will flow out, where we know when, where, what, and how to do a thing. God is light and we are children of the Light. God’s glory will rise upon us to make our path brighter and brighter to the full day. As we walk with God on His path, taking steps of faith, we can see the goal ahead until we obtain it. it’s similar to a sun rising until we see the full light of day.

For this reason we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to ask that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; that you may walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing Him, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God; strengthened with all might, according to His glorious power, for all patience and longsuffering with joy; giving thanks to the Father who has qualified us to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in the light. He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love, Colossians 1:9-13 (NKJV)

We are to be filled with the knowledge of God’s will in ALL wisdom and spiritual understanding. Why? So we can walk worthy of the Lord to please Him, making us fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God. Knowledge here in the Greek denotes exact, full knowledge, discernment, recognition. So, this knowledge helps us to discern, to know God’s will for us. As we increase in God’s knowledge, we’ll be strengthened with might and power to be patient and endure with joy, thus causing us to be thankful. This will help us partake of our inheritance in Christ- all that Christ purchased for us. We will walk in authority over all the darkness of the enemy, enforcing God’s kingdom wherever we go.

That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, and what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power which He worked in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places, far above all principality and power and might and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in that which is to come. And He put all things under His feet, and gave Him to be head over all things to the church, which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all. Ephesians 1:17-23 (NKJV)

As we pray, confess, believe, and walk in the light of God and His Word, we will know what to do. We have an anointing to know. By divine revelation knowledge, we’re walking out Ephesians 1:17-23. The Father of Glory is releasing His glory, releasing a spirit of wisdom, of revelation of knowing Christ, a heart of understanding. By being enlightened, we then know our calling and the riches of our inheritance in Him. We walk in God’s power. The power that raised Christ from the dead is given to the church in Jesus’ name. This allows us to keep darkness, the enemy, under our feet. We declare Jesus is Lord and advance the light of the Gospel everywhere we go. And we are illuminated to know the truth and know what we are to do because the glory of the Lord has risen upon us.
