The Devil's Earth Lease is Running Out

In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them. II Corinthians 4:4 (KJV)

This verse references the god of this world, meaning the devil, satan. Satan means accuser, adversary. Devil means an accuser, slanderer. The god of this world speaks of the devil. He has an earth lease that was originally given to Adam. He got Adam to sin against God in the garden (Romans 5:12), and he took over the earth lease.

But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. II Peter 3:8 (KJV)

The earth lease is for 6,000 years. God made man on the sixth day of creation. It took God six days for creation (Genesis 1:5- Genesis 2:3). One day with God is as a thousand years and a thousand years is as a day (II Peter 3:8). Thus, we can see the six days of creation as representative of the 6,000 year earth lease.

In Matthew 4 and Luke 4, we read of Jesus being tempted by the devil.

And the devil, taking him up into an high mountain, shewed unto him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time. And the devil said unto him, All this power will I give thee, and the glory of them: for that is delivered unto me; and to whomsoever I will I give it. Luke 4:5-6 (KJV) emphasis mine

The kingdoms of the world were delivered, or given, to satan when Adam sinned. God had given the earth to Adam in the form of a lease because the earth belongs to God. That lease has an expiration date.

The earth is the Lord's, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein. Psalm 24:1 (KJV)

Adam was given the lease, but he transferred it to satan when he obeyed him instead of God. Thus, Adam handed the lease over to the devil. Thus, he made satan the god over this world instead of the Lord. The authority Adam lost was restored to us by Jesus. In Christ, we can keep the devil under our feet until Jesus returns to earth. Jesus Himself will then enforce it during His 1,000-year reign on the earth.

The earth lease is about to run out. Jesus will come in the air to catch true believers in Christ up to Heaven. In the meantime, we are to take back what the enemy has stolen. We do this by going into all the world, the devil’s territory, and ruling in all realms now until the lease runs out. As we preach the Gospel with signs, wonders, and miracles following, we are taking back territory. Jesus is working with us to confirm His Word until the day the lease expires and the devil’s authority over the earth is gone. It won’t be long now.
