With Jesus, It's Personal

With Jesus, It's Personal

Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed. I Peter 2:24 (KJV) emphasis mine

Jesus personally bore your sins. He personally loves you. He personally wanted you free from sin. Therefore, Jesus, the only One who could, died to free you personally. He bore your sins so you don’t have to. You can’t bear your own sins because the penalty of sin will kill you. That’s why Jesus personally did it Himself for you. He hung on the cross, bled, and died for you- all for you and no one else. You needed saving, and He died just to save you. It doesn’t get any more personal than that.

But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption: I Corinthians 1:30 (KJV)

He took your sins and became sin to make you righteous. He made you righteous in your spirit, taking you from sinner to saint, from a sin nature to a righteous nature. He did this because He is a personal Savior. And He wants to be your personal Savior.

For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life. Romans 5:10 (KJV)

As our personal Savior, He takes care of us. He died to save us. Saved in the Greek is sodzo, which is an all-inclusive word that means saved, prosperous, delivered, protected, and healed. It includes wholeness in all areas of our lives. Jesus personally took your sins and saved you from Hell, but He also personally gave you healing, prosperity, and so much more. It is all yours. It has been personally paid for by a personal Savior.

He personally carried our sins in His body on the cross [willingly offering Himself on it, as on an altar of sacrifice], so that we might die to sin [becoming immune from the penalty and power of sin] and live for righteousness; for by His wounds you [who believe] have been healed. I Peter 2:24 (Amplified Bible, AMP) emphasis mine
