Speaking Life

I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live: Deuteronomy 30:19 (KJV)

See, I have set before thee this day life and good, and death and evil; Deuteronomy 30:15 (KJV)

God has set before us and given us the choice between life and death, between good and evil. We can choose blessing or cursing. How do we choose the good? How do we choose life and blessing? We can make the choice by loving God, walking in His ways, and keeping His Word. Then, we will live and God will bless us. Another way is to choose words that bring life and blessing and God’s goodness to us.

Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof. Proverbs 18:21 (KJV)

For he that will love life, and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips that they speak no guile: I Peter 3:10 (KJV)

Words are important. They have creative power.. The words we choose to speak cause us to choose life or death, blessing or cursing, good or bad. We have to stop cursing our blessings. Don’t speak death to your life. Stop speaking negative words that counter the good life God has given.

We can succeed or fail, see good or bad days, and experience life or death by the words we choose to release out of our mouths. The words we choose to speak create the life we have.

We can turn bad days into good days just by the words we choose to say. We determine the kind of life we’ll have. We can see a turn around if we begin to speak life words. We can go from sickness to health, from lack to abundance, from misery to peace and joy, just by changing the words of our mouths. Our words can help us to have a life we can enjoy.

As we love God, walk in His ways, and keep and speak God’s Word, we will be blessed. When we say what God says, we can have what God promises.
