Sun and Shield

For the Lord God is a sun and shield: the Lord will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly. Psalm 84:11 (KJV) emphasis mine

The word Lord is Jehovah, or Yahweh as the Hebrew states it. It means the self-existent, eternal One. it is also noted as I Am. The eternal One, the great I Am, is a sun to us. He shines down on us. He smiles upon us and gives His love, approval, and provision. He is a shield to protect us from harm, from danger, from attacks. He shines His grace on us to supply what we need. Hs glory is our reward and rear guard. His grace provides all we need. His glory resides in us, on us, and around us.

By His grace and glory, God gives all things to enjoy. He gives us all things that are good as we walk uprightly. God can give us what He promises, and He can give us more of Himself. The more we experience God, the more we can experience His grace and glory. He is gracious and glorious.

Grace helps us to receive greater glory. By grace, we have access to God and His glory, or the manifest presence of the Lord, and every weighty good thing of God.

So, look up and see God manifesting His goodness in your life. God wants to be all you need and give you every good thing. He is a sun and shield to us.
