The Work Was Done, But The Results Continue
When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost. John 19:30 (KJV)
It is finished, paid in full. The work was done, but the results will continue. It was all done by God’s Son, Jesus for all of us. Believers now need to apply the finished work of Christ to every area of life and see things change. The finished work of Christ is for all time- past, present, and future. Past prophecies were fulfilled. Present prophetic promises are being fulfilled. Prophecy will continue to be fulfilled in the future.
We are finished- finished with sin, finished with sickness, finished with satan and all enemies, finished with attacks, finished with lack, finished with the world system, and finished with anything that is not of God.
Apply Christ’s finished work, His sacrifice, His shed blood, to anything you face- and His finished work will finish anything you face. Draw on, call on, the already finished work of Christ to continue to walk now in His finished work. Apply the finished work to whatever is not working in your life and begin to see things start to work- work for your good, for your favor, for your life and all that pertains to you. By applying His finished work to our circumstances, we are working the finished work and His work works for us. The finished work is ever-working.
The price has already been paid in full. It is finished, done, completed. Just appropriate, just take, what is already yours. By His finished work:
We have all things that pertain to life and godliness (II Peter 1:2-4).
We are already blessed (Ephesians 1:3)
We are already delivered (Colossians 1:13).
We are already partaking of our inheritance (Colossians 1:12).
We’ve already been made alive (Ephesians 2:1).
We already have all things under our feet (Ephesians 1:22).
Just read Ephesians and other places in the New Testament to see all that Jesus provided for us. It has already been done. We don’t have to wait for it- it has been finished. Claim what’s yours to have what’s yours. Know what is yours, believe its yours, then receive what’s yours. All we need has been paid for and accomplished… past, present, and future.
