From This Time Forth

From This Time Forth

From this day forward, I will bless you. Haggai 2:19 (Contemporary English Bible, CEB)

The Lord shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore. Psalm 121:8 (KJV)

This verse is quoting from Deuteronomy 28:6. Preserve means to keep, watch over and protect. This promise is from now and forever into the future.

For the seed shall be prosperous; the vine shall give her fruit, and the ground shall give her increase, and the heavens shall give their dew; and I will cause the remnant of this people to possess all these things. Zechariah 8:12 (KJV)

The word prosperous in Hebrew means peace. God is saying from His Written Word “from today on, I will bless you. I will preserve you in your coming and going now and always. You will prosper, bear fruit, increase, and the heavens will rain down all of My provisions on you.” He will bless all things and we will possess all things stated for us in God’s Word; everything Christ died and rose to give us. The price has been paid. The work has been done. God is saying that from this day on that He will do all these things for us.

We can expect good and not bad all our days- blessings not curses, and favor not disapproval. We can receive divine protection instead of catastrophe. God is watching over us our entire lives. We have a life filled with God- Who is good, faithful, just, able, holy, light, life, and love.

Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning. James 1:17 (KJV)

Stop expecting the bad. Start expecting good things to happen. God opens His hands and gives us all things freely to enjoy. God is a good Father and only has good laid up in store for us. Now and forever, He is giving us all good things to enjoy in our good lives. Good things are coming! Believe it!
