The Outpouring of God's Spirit

But this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel; And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams: And on my servants and on my handmaidens I will pour out in those days of my Spirit; and they shall prophesy: And I will shew wonders in heaven above, and signs in the earth beneath; blood, and fire, and vapour of smoke: The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and notable day of the Lord come: And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved. God prophesied in Joel 2, whom Peter quotes, of the outpouring of His Spirit on all flesh- for its not meant for just one person. The last days began when Christ came (Hebrews 1:1-2) and when God poured out His Spirit on the Day of Pentecost (Acts 2:1-21)..

God had promised through Joel to pour out His Spirit and to save all who call on Him. God is pouring His Spirit out now, preparing His people for Christ to rapture them. The outpouring of God’s Spirit will affect our sons and daughters, speaking of the next generation. Sons and daughters will prophesy. Young men will see visions. Mature men will dream creams from God. His servants will prophesy. God has a lot to say and show, so He looks for people who are willing and obedient to the Spirit’s call.

Another sign of God’s outpouring is the speaking in tongues and signs, wonders, and miracles. In Acts 2, they were filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke in tongues. As we’re filled and speak in tongues, His gifts will manifest (I Corinthians 12).

God will show signs in the heaven, and He specifically mentioned eclipses and blood moons. Eclipses are a sign to the non-Jews. Blood moons are a sign to the Jews. Yet, God uses both to speak to us all. We have seen both of these heavenly signs manifest several times in the past few years. The closer we get to the rapture of the church and then to Christ’s second coming to defend Israel and defeat the enemy, the more frequently we will see these signs, along with many of the things mentioned in Matthew 24.

As the days get darker for the world, God is pouring out His Spirit and sending forth His Word to combat the darkness. God is pouring out His Spirit now on all flesh so BILLIONS of souls can be saved in this current end-time harvest. We can’t do this in our own strength, but by God’s Spirit and His Word. As His Spirit is poured out, we’ll be filled over and over. The Book of Acts has many outpourings and infillings. It is a pattern for the church, so let’s keep receiving all God wants to give us. As we do, we’ll reach the lost and fulfill our last days assignment through the anointing and power of the Holy Spirit.
