God Has Placed Eternity In The Human Heart
Yet God has made everything beautiful for its own time. He has planted eternity in the human heart, but even so, people cannot see the whole scope of God’s work from beginning to end. So I concluded there is nothing better than to be happy and enjoy ourselves as long as we can. And people should eat and drink and enjoy the fruits of their labor, for these are gifts from God. God has placed eternity in our hearts. the word eternity in the Hebrew is olam, referring to forever, a continual, unlimited amount of time.
If we really think about it, eternity has nothing to do with time, or at least with the concept of time. Eternity has no time limits because it is timeless with no end. There is no expiration date for time. Eternity goes on forever.
God has placed an awareness of eternity, of the eternal and infinite God, within each of us. Even nature declares God although we cannot understand all the He is and all that He does. However, we can trust Him and have faith that all he is and all He does is good and for our good.
Based on who God is and all He does, there is nothing better for us than for us to be happy and enjoy ourselves as long as we can. We should eat, drink, and enjoy the fruits of our labor because God has given this to us as a gift.
As we know God and that He is in us by accepting Jesus as Savior and Lord, we can live out our salvation in God and with God. God placed eternity in our hearts. We can live out our lives the best we can with who we are and enjoy our lives as we glorify God.
Life and all good things are gifts from God. We are to let flow out of us all the good things God has placed in us. We live out eternity now, knowing that one day we will be with God, the eternal and infinite One who lives on forever. As we walk with God, we will live on forever as well. You see, our eternity already started when we accepted the Lord. Now and into eternity we can walk with Him, and eventually we will be with Him face-to-face, living with Him forever.
God has placed eternity in our hearts, a knowing that we are eternal beings. He has put a knowing in us that God exists and that we can live with Him throughout the endless ages, with no time limits, as eternity goes on and on forever.
