God is Life and Life is God

The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. John 10:10 (KJV)

Jesus is God. God is life and gives life. Therefore, Jesus is life. God gives life to all, even eternal life, to those who accept and receive Jesus the Life as their Savior for eternal life.

Life in Greek in zoe, which means the God kind of life, or life as God has it. It speaks of a quality life. The concept of life itself is deep, but God is deeper- because life came from God.

God is eternal, thus He is eternal life. Because He is eternal, the life that He gives is eternal, with no beginning or ending. God is self-existent, with a life that is self-existent. Life does not need anyone to give it life- it just lives. God has never needed anyone for Him to exist. God is God all by Himself. There is no ending with Him because He is everlasting. He is Spirit and inhabits eternity.

For in Him we live and move and exist [that is, in Him we actually have our being], as even some of your own poets have said, ‘For we also are His children.’ Acts 17:28 (Amplified Bible, AMP)

When we accept God, in Him we live and move and have our being, or existence. The God kind of life gives us all we need in this life and in the one to come. God “lifes” us with the living power of God. We are filled with God, meaning we are filled with life. we can live the God kind of life, which is life more abundant.

In God’s life there is no lack, just abundance and overflow. We have been given the God life, so we have been translated from death to life, from sickness to health, from darkness to light, from lack to provision, and from bondage to freedom.

Understand the life you’ve been given. Live in the God life and God will “life” you with Himself.
