We're In His Care

We're In His Care

Casting the whole of your care [all your anxieties, all your worries, all your concerns, once and for all] on Him, for He cares for you affectionately and cares about you watchfully. I Peter 5:7 (Amplified Bible Classic Edition, AMPC)

When we know our lives are in God’s care, we can trust Him for everything. No matter what, as we give God control, He can take over. We really can cast our care on God because He cares for us. As we roll our worries and problems over ont Him, He can begin to work. If we hold onto them, He is limited in what He can do on our behalf. When the care is turned over to God, He takes over our care and takes care of us and all we face.

When we know we’re in God’s love, we can rest. Giving our cares opens us to receive His love. It’s a wonderful exchange: our cares for His love and caretaking. We have no cares when we know God has and always will love us.

We need to start acting like His children and not like orphans. we have a heavenly Father who is committed to taking care of us. God takes care of His creation, so how much more will he take care of us, His new creation! Our good Father is ready, willing, and able to take good care of His children.

Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment? Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they? Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature? And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin: And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith? Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof. Matthew 6:25-34 (KJV)

Because God cares FOR us, He will take care OF us. We can enter into the care and rest of the Lord. In God’s care is all we need: love, protection, provision, identity, and worth. By prayer we can cast cares onto God so that we are not full of care. We are to be full of God, not cares.

Cast thy burden upon the Lord, and he shall sustain thee: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved. Psalm 55:22 (KJV)

In God’s care, we have no cares because God’s got them. We can live carefree because we have given all our cares to God and live daily in His care.
