Arise Now And Take Your Authority
And he said, “Listen, all you of Judah and you inhabitants of Jerusalem, and you, King Jehoshaphat! Thus says the Lord to you: ‘Do not be afraid nor dismayed because of this great multitude, for the battle is not yours, but God’s. II Chronicles 20:15 (NKJV)
The things we see in the United States, the Middle East, and in other parts of the world have been spoken of by many prophets. We should not be surprised, and we should not be in fear. God has given us authority as born-again believers, and we need to use it.
The riots in the streets are intended to stir chaos and provoke good people to take to the streets to fight them. Instead, we will fight them in the realm of the spirit. That is where we can do the most damage to the plans of the wicked. We must use our authority to speak to the forces of evil and decree that they are defeated. We can speak words that say their communication lines are severed, their funds and resources are cut off, and that they are in confusion. Our words can sow strife and division into their midst. We can declare that they will not get the evil results they are aiming for. We can tell their schemes to turn back on their heads. These are the days of Haman and they shall reap Haman’s reward (if you do not understand this reference, see the book of Esther). We are not defenseless, and we do not have to be afraid. The Word is our mighty weapon, and the angelic host listen to the Word of God as it is spoken. They obey the voice of the Word and will fight for us. Try to imagine how big and strong and invincible the armies of heaven are. They can totally strip the enemy of their weapons and obliterate their strongholds as we speak forth decrees aligned with the written Word. God-given authority is a mighty, powerful weapon we can use. God and His host are depending on us to use our authority to release the angelic forces to defeat our enemies.
The physical world is a reflection of things going on the in spritual realm. As our enemies are defeated in the spiritual world, their defeat will also play out in this physical world. We don’t have to lash out physically, our weapons are spiritual and they are mighty. Battles are first won in the spirit before they are won in the natural.
For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, II Corinthians 10:3-4 (NKJV)
The events taking place between Israel and Iran can also be handled by spiritual warfare and using our authority. We can take authority over the wicked spirits ruling over that region and call them down from their places of power. We can speak peace to the situation. We can call down those people in places of influence who have evil intentions. We can proclaim peace and the victory of the righteous. We have a huge amount of ability to dictate what happens in this world, if we will just use it. Authority, no matter where it comes from, is useless if it isn’t used.
Let me just clarify the duty of the Christian to support Israel. God told Abraham that He would bless anyone who blessed Abraham (also referring to His descendants Israel) and He would curse anyone who cursed Him. We need to stay on the Lord’s side. Israel is God’s chosen nation, and we must support her. With that being said, Israel, like the United States, was infiltrated in their governmental and military leadership by wicked people who do not honor God. Some of them aren’t even true Jews, but are imposters. Their goals are not for the benefit of God’s people, but to promote a one world government. However, to follow the instructions of the Word, we are to pray and stand with Israel for the sake of those who are true God-fearing Israelis. Therefore, pray for the peace and safety of that nation.
Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: “May they prosper who love you. Peace be within your walls, Prosperity within your palaces.” Psalm 122:6-7 (NKJV)
Today, as the enemies of God use everything in their arsenal to avoid being taken down, use the arsenal that God has given you. There is no match for the child of God who understands his authority and uses it. The wicked are no rival for the power of God that we can tap into through our God-given authority. Arise now and take your authority over the forces of evil. Stand strong and firm, and watch the devil’s kingdom be soundly defeated.
So submit yourselves to the one true God and fight against the devil and his schemes. If you do, he will run away in failure. James 4:7 (The Voice, VOICE)
