Don't Take Your Foot Off The Gas

I was just going back and looking over some of our previous posts, and I was amazed at the number of times I have posted over the last couple years about patriotism and God’s will for our country and the world. I know that the Lord has had me posting these things to inform, encourage, and inspire us to do what He’s called us to do in this hour. At this time as much as any other time in history, the words, “you were born for such a time as this” apply. And, whether you are aware of it or not, the end is in sight and this trial will soon be over. The enemy is acting out of desperation and the battle is nearly over.

With that being said, now is not the time to lighten up in prayer or in decreeing our victory. As we are in the home stretch, we must press even more to see this thing to the conclusion. Runners release an extra burst of energy as they approach the finish line, and we must do the same.

The earnest (heartfelt, continued) prayer of a righteous man makes tremendous power available [dynamic in its working]. James 5:16 (Amplified Bible Classic Edition, AMPC)

Note this verse says that the heartfelt and continued prayer is the one that makes power available. While we may be tired and the enemy is tempting us to relax our efforts to press on in the spirit, we cannot take our foot off the gas, so to speak. If anything, we must draw near to God and, gaining strength from His Word and presence, continue to fight the good fight. Now is the time to pray in tongues like never before- and take it up a notch.

God has promised that we would be free from oppression and that He would make things better for us than we could ever imagine. He will keep His promises, but our prayers give more power to the angelic host that are fighting, and the power of our agreement with the Lord helps bring the battle to a close. Do not give up. Do not grow weary. Continue to press. Continue to decree the defeat of the enemy and that righteousness and justice prevail. Continue to wait on the Lord. He will not fail us if we will not give up. Keep your foot on the accelerator and do not let up until victory is ours.

But those who wait for the Lord [who expect, look for, and hope in Him] shall change and renew their strength and power; they shall lift their wings and mount up [close to God] as eagles [mount up to the sun]; they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint or become tired. Isaiah 40:31 (Amplified Bible Classic Edition, AMPC)
