Praise Is Our Weapon

Don’t let life break you. We’ve all experienced pain and mistreatment from others, disappointments when things didn’t go our way, losses, injustice, sickness, broken relationships, and spiritual attacks, just to name a few. Instead of letting these things break you, break open your heart before the Lord.

Pour out your heart before the Lord. Give praise to God. Let praise break those things that would try to break you. Instead of them breaking you apart, let praise break apart anything or anyone who would try to break you. Use the chains that tried to bind you. Use them against the enemy to break him down and bind him.

Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings hast thou ordained strength because of thine enemies, that thou mightest still the enemy and the avenger. Psalm 8:2 (KJV) emphasis mine

And said unto him, Hearest thou what these say? And Jesus saith unto them, Yea; have ye never read, Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings thou hast perfected praise? Matthew 21:16 (KJV) emphasis mine

Notice that the word strength is translated as praise in Matthew 21:16 when Jesus quotes Psalm 8:2. Praise gives us strength to defeat our enemies; to still or silence all those negative voices.

Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, and a two-edged sword in their hand; To execute vengeance upon the heathen, and punishments upon the people; To bind their kings with chains, and their nobles with fetters of iron; Psalm 149:6-9 (KJV)

Praise is our spiritual weapon, a spiritual sword, to execute vengeance, carriy out the punishment and sentence on devils, people, and all kinds of enemies. It binds demonic rulers with chains. It is used to execute, or enforce, the judgment, or the sentence written. Where is it written? In God’s Word, of course!

So, praise God and watch Him take care of natural and spiritual enemies. You’ll receive justice from the courts of heaven, God, the Judge, vindicating you speedily. He’ll make every wrong thing right because He is Judge over all. Take your enemies to the highest court and Judge by praising God. All will be made right because praise brings the victory over the enemy. Praise the Lord!
