Tenderly

Therefore, behold, I will allure her, and bring her into the wilderness, and speak comfortably unto her. And I will give her her vineyards from thence, and the valley of Achor for a door of hope: and she shall sing there, as in the days of her youth, and as in the day when she came up out of the land of Egypt. Hosea 2:14-15 (KJV)

This says God will lead us and woo us into the wilderness to speak tenderly to our hearts. God will give us vineyards, or provision. In the valley of Achor, or trouble, He will give us hope. And we will respond like we did in our youth when we came out of bondage.

As we face trouble, it can cause us to lose focus and not hear God clearly. When we get upset, we hear the troubling voices and we don’t hear God. However, God says He leads us away from the noise to hear His voice, spoken tenderly to our hearts. He speaks of love and healing, even in the valley of Achor, or trouble. God is with us, and we shall fear no evil. God gives us a door of hope, an expectation, a vision to lead us out of the valley and out of the house of bondage. We will sing in response to His great love for us.

When we find ourselves alone it is because God wants us to be with Him to fellowship with Him and receive from Him. God will guide, comfort, teach, and minister to us by His presence, Word, and Spirit. And we’ll have what we need to come out of the wilderness strong and victorious.
