Daddy's Arms

Run to God today. His arms are open and waiting to embrace you. And while I am telling the unsaved person to come to the Lord and be born-again, I am primarily speaking to saved people to run into the arms of Daddy God.

There are times that each of us gets a bit off track or draws back in our relationship with God. Maybe we got tired. Maybe we experienced a major disappointment. Maybe we just got a bit lazy in our Christian walk. Regardless, we can be assured that our Father is not going anywhere. He is waiting patiently for us to draw back to Him and approach Him with childlike faith and love.

The enemy would love to trash us right about that time. He’ll throw accusations at us about not praying like we should. He’ll point out the times we turned on the TV instead of cracking open the Bible. He’ll remind us about the fight we had with our spouse or the harsh tone we used with our children. He’ll pull out everything in his arsenal to keep us from running to Daddy. But—-run to Him anyway.

We’ll never measure up to everything we think the perfect Christian should be- not in this lifetime. And no matter how many times the devil tells us we have fallen short, we just need to keep running back to Daddy- over and over and over. He’ll never chide us or turn us away.

And so that we would know that we are his true children, God released the Spirit of Sonship into our hearts—moving us to cry out intimately, “My Father! My true Father!” Galatians 4:6 (The Passion Translation, TPT)

He loves you. He wants you to come near. He’s not waiting to find something wrong with you. He understands your weaknesses. He gets us- He really does. The Father is not disappointed in you or me. He’s pleased with us. He sees us not as falling short or as deficient. Instead, He sees us as His very own beloved children. He sees us through a Father’s eyes. He knows our faults and yet He loves us and is deeply devoted to us. We are His passion.

So, if you have fallen back a bit in your faith walk, run… run straight into His arms. Tell Him you love Him and be welcomed right back into perfect fellowship and union with Him. Daddy’s arms are always open and He loves you fiercely.
