Lost in the Crowd?

God is very aware of us. You may feel all alone or somehow lost in the crowd. There may be times when you think that you are just one of billions to God. However, the Bible tells us that we are on His mind at all times. He never stops thinking about us. He is so intimate with us that He knows the number of hairs on our heads. Do you even know the number of hairs on your own head? That’s extreme intimacy and awareness.
O Lord, our God, no one can compare with you. Such wonderful works and miracles are all found with you! And you think of us all the time with your countless expressions of love— far exceeding our expectations! Psalm 40:5 (The Passion Translation, TPT)
We are the center of our Father’s attention. He never stops thinking of us, loving us, and making great plans for us. Although He is the almighty Creator of all things, He is intimately aware of you and your needs and He wants to make all your dreams and desires come true. He really is that good.
You made all the delicate, inner parts of my body and knit me together in my mother’s womb. Thank you for making me so wonderfully complex! Your workmanship is marvelous—how well I know it. You watched me as I was being formed in utter seclusion, as I was woven together in the dark of the womb. You saw me before I was born. Every day of my life was recorded in your book. Every moment was laid out before a single day had passed. How precious are your thoughts about me, O God. They cannot be numbered! I can’t even count them; they outnumber the grains of sand! It really doesn’t get any more intimate than that. God knows you inside and out. He knows every cell of your body and every thought of your mind. He sees your situation and He knows your every emotion. The desires in you were placed there by Him and He delights in bringing them to pass for you. The huge, mighty Creator of the Universe has chosen to make you and me the center of His attention. I don’t know about you, but that’s amazing and humbling to me.
We don’t have to feel lost in the crowd because our Father has His eye on us constantly and He never will leave us alone. We are in His heart and He loves us individually and intimately.
