Go The Way of Faith

And Jesus said unto the centurion, Go thy way; and as thou hast believed, so be it done unto thee. And his servant was healed in the selfsame hour. Matthew 8:13 (KJV) emphasis mine

This is the account of healing of the Roman centurion’s servant, or actually his son as the Greek bears out. The centurion came to Jesus and told Him that if He would only speak the Word (Matthew 8:8), then the boy would be healed. This man knew and understood authority.

Do we know and understand authority? Our authority is in speaking the Word.

For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. Mark 11:23 (KJV)

Jesus said that we will have what we say if we say it in faith. Check your life. Do you like it or not? Is it going the way you want it to go? James 3 says that we can direct and order our lives by what we say with our tongues. Like the tiny rudder on a great ship, the tongue is what steers and directs one’s life. As the centurion believed, so it was, because words of faith were spoken.

We get what we believe. Your life goes the way your faith goes. In the Gospels, Jesus was known to tell someone, “Be it done unto you according to your faith.” Faith is the victory. No matter the problem, faith in God will turn things around. In the case of the centurion, things went from sickness to healing, from torment to freedom.

Going the way of faith is having faith in Jesus’ Word, and speaking it. Speak the Word only, and the Word will change any situation. Believe, speak, act, and receive. When we go the way of the Word, we go the way of faith. And when we go the way of faith, victory is the result!
