A Place For You
Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also. John 14:1-3 (KJV)
Why did Jesus tell us not to allow our hearts to be troubled? Because we are to believe in and have faith in God. God has a place for us.
In the Father’s house there are many mansions. Mansions in the Greek means an abode or dwelling place. God has a place for us to dwell with Him. He has many such places with Him in heaven. There is room for you and me. As we believe in God and Jesus, this guarantees us a place with them.
For those who feel homeless, whether you literally have no physical home or you just don’t feel at-home in the world, there is a place for you.
The world is not our home. We are just passing through. We are waiting for the day when we will see Jesus.
Jesus left, but He’s preparing a place for us to be with Him. He will come again to receive us unto Himself, speaking of the rapture of the church (I Thessalonians 4:13-18, I Corinthians 15:51-58). He will come in the clouds and we’ll be caught up to meet Him in the air. He will take us to our heavenly home, and from that point on, we’ll forever be with Jesus .
For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Wherefore comfort one another with these words. I Thessalonians 4:16-18 (KJV) emphasis mine
