God Will Only Do Us Good
He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things? Romans 8:32 (KJV)
Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God. I Corinthians 2;12 (KJV)
Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not highminded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy; I Timothy 6:17 (KJV)
God gave us Jesus. Jesus suffered and died for all of us so we can be saved, delivered, set free, healed, protected, and blessed with all that God our Father promises us. God wants to help us, not harm us. He wants to bless us, not curse us. He wants to do us good, not bad.
Jesus died to give us life. He went to hell so we can go to heaven. He suffered so we can be saved. Jesus was hurt so we can be healed. He was forsaken so we can know God personally. Jesus gave it all up so we can gain it all. He became poor to make us rich. He became sin to make us righteous.
Why would God have His Son take our punishment if He was out to get us? He is for us, not against us. God is good. As a matter of fact, He is all-good. There is no part of God that is not good. All that God has to give us through Christ is good.
The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. John 10:10 (KJV)
This is the dividing line, showing what is of God and what is not. If it is good, it is God. If it is bad, it is not of God, but of the devil (the thief). Although we experience bad things, they don’t come from God.
Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning. James 1:17 (KJV)
Every good and perfect gift comes from God. So, remember that if is is good, it’s God. If it isn’t good, it’s not God. God is good and does good.
Thou art good, and doest good; teach me thy statutes. Psalm 119:68 (KJV)
