God's Will To Heal Everything

God's Will To Heal Everything

If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. II Chronicles 7:14 (KJV)

How do we get our land healed? First of all, this says that God’s people must humble themselves. Humble means to be low, become low, to sink down. We must get rid of pride and self. Then we must pray and seek God’s face. Also, we must repent of our wicked ways. There are four things we are to do:

  1. Humble ourselves

  2. Pray

  3. Seek God’s face

  4. Turn from wickedness

When we do these things, the Bible tells us that God will do three things:

  1. Hear from heaven

  2. Forgive our sin

  3. Heal our land

God says “I will” in this passage three times. Three in the Word of God stands fo the Trinity and for resurrection. The Trinity (God) will heal and resurrect what is dead in our land.

What we do and what God does adds up to seven things. Seven in the Bible represents completion and fulfillment. In this case, it speaks of complete restoration and healing of the land.

This passage tells us it is God’s will to move us from:

  • Pride to humility

  • Selfishness to selflessness

  • Prayerlessness to being a people of prayer

  • Self-seeking to God-seeking

  • Wicked to holy

  • Walking in sinful ways to walking with God

God will hear us, forgive us, and heal us. There will be no hindrance to our prayers. We will be forgiven and healed. This comes as a result of humility, prayer, seeking God, and true repentance.

God promises to heal our land, but what does that mean? It means the healing and restoration of our personal lives, our relationships, our homes, our churches, our schools, our economies, and our nations. It manifests in good land and safety in the land, as well as wholeness in our bodies, minds, and emotions.

It is God’s will to heal the land and everything else!
