When The World Goes Crazy

“Do not fear, little flock, for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom. Luke 12:32 (NKJV)

When the world goes crazy and danger seems to be on every side, do not be afraid. God has promised His care and protection over us, even in the midst of perilous times. Right now there are many things happening in the world that have some people on edge. However, you can rest and be at peace when everyone else is terrified. Trust God.

Those who live in the shelter of the Most High will find rest in the shadow of the Almighty. This I declare about the Lord: He alone is my refuge, my place of safety; he is my God, and I trust him. For he will rescue you from every trap and protect you from deadly disease. He will cover you with his feathers. He will shelter you with his wings. His faithful promises are your armor and protection. Do not be afraid of the terrors of the night, nor the arrow that flies in the day. Do not dread the disease that stalks in darkness, nor the disaster that strikes at midday. Though a thousand fall at your side, though ten thousand are dying around you, these evils will not touch you. Just open your eyes, and see how the wicked are punished. If you make the Lord your refuge, if you make the Most High your shelter, no evil will conquer you; no plague will come near your home. Psalm 91:1-10, New Living Translation, NLT)

What a wonderful passage of comfort and the promise of protection against just about any hazard you can think of. Stand in faith for the protection of God. Remain at rest in His presence. He will cover you with His feathers of protection, and although you’ll see others harmed around you, you can be assured of complete safety from the Lord.

As we navigate these unprecedented times, we can pray and ask God where we should be in order to avoid danger. Holy Spirit will give us confirmation if we are to travel somewhere or not. He will guide us and keep us safe as we ask for Him to lead us. But, we must be willing and obedient to His leading. If He says not to go to a certain place, then do not go. Obedience preserves our lives. He will make sure we are in the right place at the right time.

When you are in distress, and all these things come upon you in the latter days, when you turn to the Lord your God and obey His voice (for the Lord your God is a merciful God), He will not forsake you nor destroy you, nor forget the covenant of your fathers which He swore to them. Deuteronomy 4:30-31 (NKJV)

As children of God, we have the covenant the the Father made with Jesus and ratified in the blood of the Son. When distressing times come, we do not need to stress or worry. When we turn to God and obey what He tells us to do, all will be well. Refuse to fear. God is on our side and we will not be shaken.
