Scriptures For Troubled Times
As we go through difficult times and seasons, it can be tempting to fear. However, God has given us numerous Scripture verses that we can stand on and claim in troubled times. Here are a few peace Scriptures that you can decree as you go through challenges. All of these are noted in the New King James Version (NKJV), but feel free to use the translation that you prefer.
“The Lord bless you and keep you; The Lord make His face shine upon you, And be gracious to you; The Lord lift up His countenance upon you, And give you peace.” ’ Numbers 6:24-26
I will both lie down in peace, and sleep; For You alone, O Lord, make me dwell in safety. Psalm 4:8
The Lord will give strength to His people; The Lord will bless His people with peace. Psalm 29:11
But the meek shall inherit the earth, And shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace. Psalm 37:11
Great peace have those who love Your law, And nothing causes them to stumble. Psalm 119:165
Peace be within your walls, Prosperity within your palaces.” Psalm 122:7

Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things. The things which you learned and received and heard and saw in me, these do, and the God of peace will be with you. Philippians 4:8-9
To the saints and faithful brethren in Christ who are in Colosse: Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. Colossians 1:2
And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body; and be thankful. Colossians 3:15
Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely; and may your whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. I Thessalonians 5:23
Now may the Lord of peace Himself give you peace always in every way. The Lord be with you all. II Thessalonians 3:16
This is not an all-inclusive list, but it does cover quite a few verses. I encourage you to do a study and look up verses about peace and being full of God’s peace. You can also look up verses about having no fear. Meditate on them and store them in your heart. As you do, the peace of God will reign in your heart no matter the situation.
