God's Throne and Judgment
For thou hast maintained my right and my cause; thou satest in the throne judging right…. But the Lord shall endure for ever: he hath prepared his throne for judgment. And he shall judge the world in righteousness, he shall minister judgment to the people in uprightness…. The Lord is known by the judgment which he executeth: the wicked is snared in the work of his own hands. Higgaion. Selah…. Arise, O Lord; let not man prevail: let the heathen be judged in thy sight. Psalm 9: 4, 7-8, 16, 19 (KJV)
God sits on His throne, judging in righteousness, therefore, God maintains the right and cause of the righteous. We can go to God and He will gives us a just verdict. God will make right whatever is wrong. He will maintain our cause, making sure we get justice. He will take care of things.
His throne is a throne of judgment. He judges the wicked and ministers judgment to the upright. The wicked will receive a just judgment for their evil deeds, and the righteous God does what is right for us. God’s judgment is right and just. He will judge believers through Christ’s finished work, according to what we have done. In other words, when a believer stands before Christ’s judgment throne (John 5:22), He does not see any sin because Jesus paid the price for it (Romans 2:16). Instead, we are evaluated and rewarded based on what we have done for Christ (I Corinthians 3:13-15). God’s judgment is just to everyone.
No one gets by with anything. There is a Judge, and there is a judgment for everyone (Daniel 12:2). God will execute judgment. He is known by His just judgment. No one will get by with sin forever. God will judge rightly against the sinner, he who has never accepted Christ’s payment for his sins.
God will arise so that sinful man will not prevail. God will judge the heathen, the nations, in His sight. He sees all and will bring all wicked people to account for their deeds. Gid makes them accountable for what they have done- now and in the future.
These are the judgments noted in Scripture:
The Judgment Seat of Christ is for the believers. This is where rewards are given to Christians for their works for God (I Corinthians 3:13-15, II Corinthians 5:10). This takes place in heaven during the seven-year tribulation period.
The Great White Throne Judgment is when sinners will be judged and sentenced to the Lake of Fire forever (Revelation 20:11-15). Those who were saved and died during the millennial reign of Christ and during the seven-year tribulation will be judged and rewarded at this time, being received into God’s presence. This takes place after the millennial reign of Christ.
Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need. Hebrews 4:16 (KJV)
This speaks of God’s throne of grace, a place to find mercy and grace. So come and receive all you need from God by receiving Jesus Christ as your Savior and Lord. Receive grace now to receive a judgment later you can live with throughout eternity. God is enthroned and rules over all. Let God rule in you so you can rule with Him forever.
