Seeking and Soaking Sessions

Seeking and Soaking Sessions

And Ephraim is as an heifer that is taught, and loveth to tread out the corn; but I passed over upon her fair neck: I will make Ephraim to ride; Judah shall plow, and Jacob shall break his clods. Sow to yourselves in righteousness, reap in mercy; break up your fallow ground: for it is time to seek the Lord, till he come and rain righteousness upon you. Hosea 10:11-12 (KJV) emphasis mine

These verses tell us how to seek God and soak in Him. Judah mean praise. We must praise God to plow and break up hard ground. Praise plows and prepares our hearts for us to sow and reap. As we praise and seek God, we will experience Him and we’ll reap in mercy, or love.

We must seek God through prayer, worship, the Word, and waiting on Him. He will come and rain His righteousness on us, and we will soak in His presence.

We can worship God daily. I suggest that you play good worship music. Praise plows our hard hearts and prepares for God’s presence. As God rains His Spirit and presence on us, we learn to wait in the presence of the Lord. Thus, we soak in His presence. We can soak in His love, Word, voice, power, and the flow of His Spirit. The more we do this, the more we will be saturated and filled with God. Take time daily to plow through praise, sow and reap. seek, and stay under the rain of God’s Spirit, presence, power, and promises.

But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint. Isaiah 40:31 (KJV)

As we wait on the Lord, we will be renewed. we will be filled and refilled with Holy Spirit. We will enjoy the rain of God’s presence. The more we seek the Lord, the more we experience Him. The more we praise, the more we plow so we can sow and then reap the harvest of God and His love in our lives. As we experience the rain of righteousness that comes from God, we will experience God and His love, goodness, and power.

Praise plows to break up the ground of our hearts to receive God’s Word. So, seek and soak daily before the Lord. You will experience God in a fresh way everyday and will receive an abundant harvest from the Word that has been sown in your heart.
