Jesus is the Great I AM

Jesus is the Great I AM

And when that time comes, you will ask nothing of Me [you will need to ask Me no questions]. I assure you, most solemnly I tell you, that My Father will grant you whatever you ask in My Name [as presenting all that I Am]. John 16:23 (Amplified Bible Classic Edition, AMPC)

“… Whatever you ask in My Name [as presenting all that I Am].” This references Exodus 3:14 where God tells His name as being I Am. God’s name is I Am, or I Am That I Am.

This is derived from he Hebrew Yahweh, which speaks of action. God will be known as the God Who is present to help, work, etc.

God is who God is. He is I Am, meaning He will be all we need Him to be. He is our love, victory, healer, provider, peace, and so on. His names represent who He is- His presence, character, power, glory, nature, and attributes. The names of God reveal God!

You have not chosen Me, but I have chosen you and I have appointed you [I have planted you], that you might go and bear fruit and keep on bearing, and that your fruit may be lasting [that it may remain, abide], so that whatever you ask the Father in My Name [as presenting all that I Am], He may give it to you. John 15;16 (Amplified Bible Classic Edition, AMPC)

Here we see that Jesus’ name represents all that Jesus is. Therefore, when we speak the name of Jesus, the person, presence, power, glory, nature, character and attributes of Jesus Christ will manifest in demonstration and operation in our lives. When we say, “Jesus,” we’re speaking forth all that God is and all He will do for us. When we speak Jesus’ name, we release the Great I Am to work in us and in our midst, releasing all He is, has, and will do for us.

God’s names represents God- Who He is and that He is present to help, heal, and bring answers. Jesus and God are One. Therefore, as we speak Jesus’ name, we are speaking forth the Great I Am. The name of Jesus represents all that God is. And, we will find He is all He says He is.
