Too Blessed To Stay Where We Are
And Amaziah said to the man of God, But what shall we do for the hundred talents which I have given to the army of Israel? And the man of God answered, The Lord is able to give thee much more than this. II Chronicles 25:9 (KJV)
The Lord shall increase you more and more, you and your children. Psalm 115:14 (KJV)
We are too blessed to stay where we are, just like Abraham and Lot in Genesis 13. The land couldn’t sustain all their possessions, so they parted for more land. God and His blessings overtake us (Deuteronomy 28:2), and He pours out His blessings so there is not even room enough to contain it all (Malachi 3:10). God has promised to multiply us, increase us, bless us, and enlarge us.
Enlarge the place of thy tent, and let them stretch forth the curtains of thine habitations: spare not, lengthen thy cords, and strengthen thy stakes; For thou shalt break forth on the right hand and on the left; and thy seed shall inherit the Gentiles, and make the desolate cities to be inhabited. Isaiah 54:2-3 (KJV)
These verses tell us to make room for growth; to be more in order to receive more. It is the command to expand. Why? Because God is more. God has more. God does more. He is more than enough. God is into overflow.
… I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance (to the full, till it overflows). John 10:10 (Amplified Bible Classic Edition, AMPC)
He opens Heaven’s windows and pours out blessing upon blessing (Malachi 3:10), grace upon grace, and truth upon truth. We have to keep enlarging ourselves to receive more and more.
Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again. Luke 6:38 (KJV)
God is telling us to prepare for more. Prepare to move on with God because we are too blessed to stay where we are. God’s plans are to prosper us and not to harm us (Jeremiah 29:11). God keeps increasing us, which was His original plan (Genesis 1:26-28). He intends for us to get so large, with His people filling the earth and running things. Then, that which was ungodly will become godly, and that which was wicked will become righteous. Where there was evil, goodness reigns. His plan is for us to be the head. We are too blessed to be the tail. We are too blessed, and we must go beyond where we are and go where God wants us to be.
