You Are New
Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. II Corinthians 5:17 (KJV)
As a new creation, God doesn’t measure us by our past- past sins, past failures, past mitakes, or past missteps. His acceptance is not based on us doing everything right; because we don’t- and we won’t. Oh yes, we can press on to do our best, but remember that God does not look at us based on performance. It’s not about what we can do for God, but about what He has done for us through Christ.
You are more than your failures, problems, weaknesses, or inabilities. Whatever you lack, God makes up the difference. Christ is more than enough to compensate for what you don’t have in the natural. Jesus gives us a new beginning to make up for those things that failed to happen for us before. For every failure, God has successes. For every disappointment, God has divine appointments with Him that have your name on them. For every hurt, Jesus is the Healer. For every loss, God has so much more in store.
No matter what happened or didn’t happen, God is more than able to make good things out of bad, God will more than make up to us for past disappointments. We’ll come behind in no good thing. For every rejection and painful thing, God accepts, approves, and heals us. He makes us new.
As a new creation, God makes us new and gives us new days, new beginnings. The new, good things that God has for us will make us forget the former things.
So, look up, cheer up, and give it up to receive all God has for you and all He is about to do for you. God says He will make us who He wants us to be, and He always does what He says He will do. Your worst days are behind you. Your best days are ahead of you. Rejoice, for you are new, and it’s a new day!
And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. Revelation 21:5 (KJV)
