Only God Can Give You What You Need

But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:19 (KJV)

This tells us that whatever need we may have, God shall meet it. Shall is a word that means it will definitely happen. There is no doubt that God will meet our needs based on the sacrificial work of Christ.

We try many things on our own to get our needs met. Many of us look to people to meet our needs. Some look to a company or the government to meet their needs. The truth is that only God can meet all of our needs. Many people and things have failed us and will fail us. However, God never has and never will fail us. We simply have to trust in Him.

Maybe all the things we’ve gone through can serve to get us to look to God for our needs. The things of man and of the world will fail. If we’ve trusted in them, those failures can point us to God, Who does not and cannot fail.

No matter the need, God shall meet it. We may even have needs that we are not aware of. God will meet those as well. If we look to God as our Source, we will see God provide what we need every time. The God who is more than enough has more than enough to meet our needs. God’s heavenly riches are at our disposal if we just ask.

Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened. Matthew 7:7-8 (KJV)

Ask in the name of Jesus, and you shall receive. God will meet your every need because it gives Him great pleasure to do so.
