The Great Equalizer- Part 1

The Great Equalizer- Part 1

Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons: Acts 10:34 (KJV)

Then Peter replied, “I see very clearly that God shows no favoritism. Acts 10:34 (New Living Translation, NLT)

This verse, in these two translations, says that God accepts all people. God welcomes everyone. He has extended salvation to all. The verse that follows, Acts 10:35, says that God accepts all who fear (respects and reverences) Him and does what is right. What God has for one, He has for all. What He does for one, He’s willing to do for all. God offers salvation, baptism in the Holy Spirit, healing, blessings, favor… to all.

Through Jesus Christ God gives us all equality- He puts us on a level playing field. He sees no one as better and no one as less. He loves us all the same! God gives us all an opportunity to know Him, love Him, and serve Him. God has a good plan for all, no matter your nationality, education, and so forth. When we come to Christ, we al become equal and one in Christ.

For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus. For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus. And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise. Galatians 3:26-29 (KJV)

And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him: Where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision, Barbarian, Scythian, bond nor free: but Christ is all, and in all. Colossians 3:10-11 (KJV)

For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. Romans 10:12 (KJV)

God gives us all opportunities to be someone special, to do something great, to be the difference and make a difference. He will use us to make an impact, no matter our background. It doesn’t matter whether we know great people or no one. It doesn’t matter whether we are born in wealth or poverty. No matter what we have or don’t have- God is enough. God makes up the difference. He does what is needed to make us what He created us to be. He equips us to do what He has planned for us to do.

God is the Great Equalizer. he gives good things to all of us. With God, there is no lack, but equality. We’re one body of Christ, but many different members. All are important and needed. So be who God made you to be. Know that God accepts you in Christ. God does not prefer one above another. God has chosen us, and when we choose Him, we are all equal in His sight.

We all need to be our best in Christ and do our best, then we’ll have the best- because it all comes from God and He offers it to us all.
