The Sufficiency of Grace

The Sufficiency of Grace

My grace is sufficient for thee. II Corinthians 12:9 (KJV)

My grace is all you need. II Corinthians 12:9 (New Living Translation, NLT)

My grace is enough for you. II Corinthians 12:9 (New Century Version, NCV)

God’s grace is enough to meet every need, to help you face things, to see you through. It will give you power to overcome. It gives you what you lack. It provides divine ability and strength to make up for what you’re not and to give you what you don’t have. Grace will help you and mature you. Grace can make us Christlike.

It gives you favor. It provides forgiveness. Grace brings a new start. Grace helps keep us in our place. It will save, bless, and protect you. It provides the riches of heaven. It helps you to move on. It brings that which makes life worth living- the opportunity to know, experience and love God.

It fills up any insufficiency, void, or inconsistency. God’s grace is enough for your life- to make things right. It heals and brings good health to “life” you. God’s grace will enable and empower you to be, do, and have all that the Father promised, Jesus purchased, and the Holy Spirit provides.

Grace is simply God doing what we cannot do ourselves. That is the definition of grace in the most uncomplicated terms. We are insufficient in ourselves, but grace is sufficient. It bridges the gap between our inadequacy and the perfection required by God. Grace is love in action to save us and set us free for no other reason than the fact that God loves us. Grace makes no sense to the natural mind that thinks it must perform or earn everything.

God has given us all we need through grace, grace, and more grace. Nothing else is required. And by childlike faith, we can receive it all!
