God's Grace Makes Us Overcomers

And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. II Corinthians 12:9 (KJV)

When we deal with difficult people, situations, weaknesses, or any attack of the enemy, God gives us enough grace to overcome. In other words, He gives us enough of His power, ability and favor to be victorious. Grace is God’s ability working on our behalf to do what we cannot do for ourselves. Grace is God giving us the help that we really do not deserve- simply because He is God and He loves us. It is that extra something that puts us over the top. It is divine enablement.

When we’re weak in the flesh, we can rely on God’s very own power, grace, Spirit and Word to help us. God will strengthen and mature us to keep us from being defeated by people, problems, pressure, and demonic assaults. The power of Christ, the anointed One and His anointing, rests upon us as it did on Jesus. As He overcame, we too can overcome every problem. We will do it not in our own strength, but in the strength of the Lord.

God will grace us, or empower and strengthen us, to win and to experience “greater is He that is in us than he that is in the world.” As we mature, we overcome all these little distractions, weaknesses, and immaturities, staying focused on Jesus. We’ll keep walking in victory, knowing God’s grace is enough to meet every need.
