Let It Go

Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you. I Peter 5:7 (KJV)

We deal with so many different people and in so many different situations. Some are nice, and of course, some are not so nice. Some know when they hurt us and some are so insensitive that they have no idea.

We may get angry at people, yet the ones who don’t have a clue are going about their lives as if nothing has happened. Meanwhile, we meditate on the hurt and wonder why they did it. Or even worse, we become resentful of them, holding onto unforgiveness, anger, and confusion. In doing this, we’re just hurting ourselves more, and allowing what they did to damage us even more!

Some people are simply insensitive and really don’t know what they did or what they are doing. We know more than they do- through the Word and a relationship with Jesus. Therefore, we have to let the hurt go so we don’t keep allowing it to hold us back.

Give it all to God. He can do what we can’t. Even when others don’t make things right, Jesus will make things right for us as we give the hurt to Him. And He will make sure we are paid back for the wrong we suffered. Although the person who hurt you may be off doing their own thing and seemingly oblivious to what they did, you’ll be free from it. And you’ll be a better, stronger person knowing you did the right thing.
