Sing Forth the Victory

Sing Forth the Victory

We all want justice- in our own lives and on a broader scale. Let’s not forget the power of our words and how we can decree justice with our mouths. And think of this- decrees for justice and other things can be sung just as easily as they can be spoken.

We can praise God with the Word so that it becomes a prophetic song; a scripture song that brings justice. We can sing justice into our lives to execute punishment on evil doers and on wrong situations. We can sing and bind satan and demons that work through wicked people. We can enforce the victory Jesus gave us as we sing a prophetic song based on the Word of God. As we do, we release a divine sentence against our enemies so we can see a turn-around. We can sing to God for righteousness, justice, and truth to win out. Our songs can create a change of course in our lives and in the world around us.

The following verses from Psalm 149 serve as a great example of Scripture that can be released as a song to prophesy and decree justice. The parentheses are my own added observations.

Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, and a two-edged sword in their hand;

To execute vengeance upon the heathen, and punishments upon the people; (Evil people will not get by with their sins.)

To bind their kings with chains, and their nobles with fetters of iron; (Praise binds people in authority so they cannot proceed with their wicked schemes.)

To execute (enforce) upon them the judgment (sentence) written: this honour have all his saints. Praise ye the Lord. (We won’t be shamed but we will see that God honors the righteous.) Psalm 149:6-9 (KJV) emphasis mine, parenthetical statements mine

In singing forth these words, we accomplish the following:

  • We wield a two-edged sword against the enemy.

  • We enforce God’s vengeance on the heathen and workers of evil.

  • Our praise binds wicked people in places of authority to stop their evil plots, plans, and ploys.

  • We enforce the sentence of justice they deserve. They will not get by with their evil plans, but will be brought to justice.

Let God arise, let his enemies be scattered: let them also that hate him flee before him. Psalm 68:1 (KJV)

As we praise God and sing forth Scriptures like Psalm 149, God will arise to save us, bring justice, and give us victory. The battle is the Lord’s and the victory is ours. We will see the justice of the Lord because He is good and just and true.
