The Greatest Gift

Have you ever received a gift that you opened, and that was it? Once you unwrapped it, there was no unwrapping it again because you already saw what it was. No more anticipation. No more excitement.

Well, Jesus is the greatest gift that we can unwrap every day, all the time. Although we already received Jesus, we keep discovering more about Him all the time- it’s like a gift that we get to unwrap over and over. The word revelation means to unveil, so every time we read the Word, we see Jesus in it- and we see something new and fresh about Him. We get to unwrap Him everytime we read the Word.

And what’s neat about the gift of Jesus is that He doesn’t fade, wear out or get boring. He gets more exciting; bigger, better, brighter! We find that with Jesus the Gift we never get tired of Him, and that He’s new all the time. We can’t wait to unpackage Jesus and enjoy Him again and again.

Jesus really is the gift that keeps on giving; all we ever wanted, longed for and desired. Jesus is the one Gift that satisfies every person, no matter what their taste or style. He gives us all love, joy, and peace all the time. In every season of our lives, Jesus is the one gift we will never want to part with. However, regifting Jesus is expected, even encouraged. And when you regift Jesus, you give Him to someone else who needs the Gift of His love, but you still get to keep Him for yourself too. What an amazing gift. What an amazing gift Giver! Jesus is the greatest Gift of all.
