God Through You

And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. II Corinthians 12:9 (KJV)

God’s grace, God’s power, is enough for us because God’s strength is made perfect, or matured, in our weakness. So, glory and be glad in your weakness because it allows the power of Christ to rest upon you.

God leaves some weakness in us. Why? He does it so we will depend on Him. We have to depend on Him and His power and be willing and obedient to let Him flow through us. When I am weak in myself, I can be strong in Christ. Christ can be strong in, on, and through me.

He must increase, but I must decrease. John 3:30 (KJV)

The more we die to who we are in ourselves, the more Christ can live and rule through us. And the more He can love through us. We will experience Christ more and our own fleshly inabilities less.

But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty; I Corinthians 1:27 (KJV)

Foolish is the Greek word morano, which means dull, dense, or slow. God chose this kind of person to confound those who are wise in their own eyes. God’s wisdom will flow through you who are humble to silence the arrogance and the wisdom of those of this world. God chose the weak things of the world to confound the mighty. God will work through us to show His power and wisdom. Just rely more on God than your education, talent, strength, finances, or popularity. It’s not about you; it’s about Him.

I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me. Galatians 2:20 (KJV)

As we live the crucified life, not doing life our way or in our own selfishness, but letting Christ live in and through us, we live by His faith. Knowing that Jesus loved us and gave Himself for us, we will then live for Him- in His power, wisdom, and life. We live by His Spirit and His Word

The less we become self-reliant, the more we become God-reliant. And we’ll really see who God is and what He can and will do through us.
